3 Ways to Connect While Self-Isolating

The way we connect to loved ones has temporarily changed; however, our need for connection is stronger than ever. Friends, family, and colleagues are connecting to say hello, share stories and ideas.  There have been more daily calls, zoom with co-workers and virtual wine and cheese parties (cheers!) than ever before.

Top three ways to connect:

  • Virtual Wine and Cheese
  • Family Game Night
  • Social media groups and YouTube channels

 Virtual Wine and Cheese

Zoom wine and cheese parties have become popular over the past few weeks, and why not. With our new reality, hosting a virtual wine and cheese is a way to stay connected to your friends and family as we navigate our new world.  Your kitchen is still the place to share stories and make new memories – now is no different. These virtual gatherings are sure to put a much-needed smile on your face!

(Virtual) Family Game Night

With the kids at home, teach them some new games.  Poker?  Why not!  Or, re-discover some of those old board games that have been on the shelf for years.  Trivia Pursuit will keep the brain cells working and provide a great distraction – invite friends and family to join in virtually. Charades is another great game that gets the body moving and will provide some laughs. Who knows, you may even find a new family favorite!

Social Media and YouTube

There has been an increase in like-minded entrepreneurs creating Facebook and Instagram groups to share ideas and support each other.  This is a great time to work on your business and develop new offers to share with your clients once businesses open again.  Use YouTube to learn new skills and to listen to my mortgage update each week.  Sign in to my YouTube channel More Than Just Mortgages to stay up-to-date on the latest mortgage news and information.
